Core Concepts
Everything in Lithora is Work. Work is shown differently depending on what you want to do.
The Mental Model
Lithora is a Work Operating System. Instead of juggling tasks, projects, and calendars as separate things, everything is simply work viewed through different lenses.

The Structure
Lithora organizes your work in a clear hierarchy:
1. Workspace
The highest level container. Usually your entire company.
2. Team
A group of people who collaborate. Permissions are set here.
3. Container
Organizes related work together (what you might call a "project").
4. Work
The universal primitive — tasks, notes, ideas. It's all work.
Key Concepts
- Work: Everything you create is work — tasks, notes, files, ideas.
- Container: Organizes related work together. Name it after a goal.
- Lens: A way to view the same work differently — Overview, Board, Backlog, Timeline, Calendar, Tasks, Files and Integrations are eight lenses on one project, not eight copies of it.
- Summon: Press ⌘K to instantly find or create anything.
Three rules worth internalizing early
- Permissions live on the team. Owner, admin, member and the free read-only guest are all team-scoped, so the same person can hold different roles in different teams. See Roles & Permissions.
- Deleting is reversible for 30 days. Work items and projects go to the Trash and can be restored by anyone on the team who can write; permanent removal is a separate, deliberate step. See Trash & restore.
- Sharing outward does not require an account. A project can be published at a revocable public link that exposes only names, statuses, priorities and dates. See Guests & sharing.
