Meeting Summaries

Paste a transcript and Lithora returns a concise summary and a list of action items. Keep the summary in your team's feed, and turn the action items into real tasks in one step.

Ana: the auth migration is blocked on the token rotation…

Ravi: I'll own the rotation, done Friday.

Ana: let's ship the beta after that.

Summary

Auth migration is blocked on token rotation. Ravi will own the rotation; beta ships once it lands.

Action items
  • Rotate auth tokens — Ravi, Fri
  • Ship beta after rotation lands

Transcript in, summary and action items out — then send the action items to your board as tasks.

Two ways in: a recording, or a transcript you already have

Lithora transcribes recordings. Upload the audio or video to your team or personal storage and start a transcription job (Amazon Transcribe); Lithora polls it and summarises the result automatically. Or skip that and paste a transcript you already have. Two caveats worth knowing before you plan around it: Jitsi, which hosts the in-product meeting, does not produce a recording or a transcript by itself — you supply the file. And transcription needs Amazon Transcribe configured on the server; where it is not, the API says so with a 503 and points you at the paste flow rather than failing quietly. Transcription is part of Lithora AI, so it needs a Pro or Scale plan; pasting a transcript does too.

How it works

  1. Start from a recording, or from text. Upload the recording to your team or personal storage and start transcription — Lithora polls the job and hands the result straight to the summarizer. Or paste a transcript you already have: give it a title and drop in the text, up to roughly 200,000 characters, enough for a long meeting.
  2. Get a summary + action items. Lithora returns a concise summary and a structured list of action items, and saves it to your team's summary feed.
  3. Turn actions into tasks. Pick a project and Lithora creates a task for each action item, so decisions don't evaporate when the call ends.

Action items become tasks

From a saved summary, choose a project and create tasks from its action items in one step. The project must belong to your team; once tasks are created, the summary is marked so you don't double-file the same follow-ups.

Find it

Open meeting summaries at Dashboard → Meeting Summaries. After a call, paste the transcript here to capture the decisions and follow-ups before they're forgotten.

Plan requirement

Summarizing and creating tasks from a summary both require an active Pro or Scaleplan, and each summary draws from your team's daily AI message pool. The gate is enforced on the API and resolves from the team owner's plan, so members of a paid team do not need a subscription of their own.
