Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on pricing, guests and sharing, deleting and restoring, and the things that most often trip people up.

Plans & billing

Is there a free plan?

No. Lithora has two paid plans — Pro at $10 per seat per month and Scale at $29 per seat per month — plus a custom Enterprise agreement. Both paid plans include a 7-day trial that does not ask for a credit card. An account with no active trial and no subscription is "locked": your data is kept, but paid surfaces stop resolving until you subscribe.

Is there annual billing or a yearly discount?

No. Billing is monthly only. There is no annual plan, no yearly price and no prepay discount — every subscription renews month to month.

Are guests free?

Yes. A guest is a read-only membership that never consumes a billable seat and never appears on the invoice, no matter how often they log in. Guests are capped per team: 5 on Pro, 25 on Scale. Pending invites and deactivated members are also non-billable.

Who gets charged when I invite my team?

Nobody individually. Seats are totalled across the workspace and billed as a single monthly invoice to the workspace owner. Adding or removing a teammate realigns the seat count with the payment provider automatically.

What happens when I cancel?

Cancel from Settings › Billing. The cancellation is sent to the payment provider first, so you are never shown a cancellation that did not take effect. You keep paid access until the end of the period you already paid for, then the workspace lapses to the locked state. Your projects, work items, docs and files are not deleted, and you can reactivate from the same page.

Sharing & access

Can I share a project publicly, without making someone sign up?

Yes. A project can be published at an unguessable public URL that needs no login. You can set an optional expiry, and revoking the link stops it resolving immediately. The public view shows only the project name, description, status and dates, plus each work item's title, status, priority and due date — never member emails or internal ids.

I can't see a project my teammate sent me.

You are probably not a member of the team that owns it. Ask a team owner or admin to invite you from Team Settings › Members. If you signed up on your company email domain, you may also be able to find the workspace yourself and request to join.

How do I join my colleagues' existing workspace instead of creating an empty one?

If you signed up with a company email address and someone has switched domain discovery on for their workspace, workspaces on your domain appear during onboarding and you can send a join request to their admins. Consumer email domains (gmail.com, outlook.com, yahoo.com, icloud.com, proton.me and similar) are excluded — a shared free-mail domain carries no organizational meaning.

Why can a guest not edit anything?

That is the point of the role. Guest is read-only and enforced server-side, not merely hidden in the interface, so writes are refused by the API and cannot be routed around through the AI agent. If a guest needs to do real work, change their role to Member — which converts them into a billable seat.

Deleting & restoring

Can I undo a delete?

Yes. Deleting a work item or a project is a soft delete: it disappears from every view but stays restorable for 30 days from the Trash. After 30 days a scheduled sweep purges it permanently. Deleting a project also sends its work items to the Trash with it, and restoring the project brings back exactly the items that went down with it.

Restoring a task says I have to restore the project first. Why?

A work item cannot be restored into a container that is itself in the Trash — it would come back somewhere nobody can see. Restore the parent project first and the task can then be restored (or was already restored alongside it).

How do I delete something for good?

Open the Trash and choose the permanent delete action on the item. This is deliberately a second, separate step because it is irreversible, and it is restricted to a workspace owner, an admin, or the person who created the item.

Working in Lithora

Can email create work?

Yes. Mail arriving through the inbound parser becomes a work item, and the originating email thread stays attached to it so the conversation and the work never drift apart.

How do I see what ships this quarter and what is slipping?

Use the Timeline view inside a project. It sits alongside Overview, Board, Backlog, Calendar, Tasks, Files and Integrations, and lays dated work out against the calendar so slippage is visible rather than inferred.

Why didn't my automation run?

Check the automation's Run History. The usual causes are a trigger condition that was not actually met (the rule required P1 and the item was P2), or the person who triggered it lacking permission to perform the automated action.

Account & data

How do I reset my password?

Click 'Forgot password' on the login screen. If you sign in with Google, reset it with Google — Lithora does not hold that password.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Workspace admins can export from Settings › Workspace › Export. Exports are available as CSV, JSON and PDF depending on what you are exporting.

Does Lithora work on a phone?

Yes — the web app is responsive and works in mobile browsers, so you can triage, comment and update status from a phone.
