A floating timer counts up while you work; hours roll into your weekly report.
Plan requirement
Tracking Time
You can track time in two ways:
- Timer: Start a timer against a task and it floats in the corner while it runs. Stop it and the duration is computed and saved. You can also drive it from the command palette with
/timer. - Manual entry: Log a duration retroactively when you forgot to start the timer. Entries can be edited or deleted afterwards, and the billable amount is recalculated each time.
Billable time
Mark an entry billable and give it an hourly rate; Lithora computes the amount from the duration and keeps it correct through edits. A billable entry without a rate is rejected at save time rather than quietly recorded at zero.
Reports & Timesheets
Time data feeds the Time tab of the Insights hub:
- Weekly & monthly reports: Hours per period, broken down so you can see where the week actually went.
- Productivity & team performance: Aggregate views of logged time across the team.
- CSV timesheet export: One row per entry with date, start, end, duration in hours, description, project, task, billable flag, rate, and amount — ready to hand to invoicing.
Estimates live on the task itself, so comparing estimated against logged hours is what makes the Sprint Planner's hour-based capacity honest over time. See Analytics & Insights for the rest of the hub.
